The LeapMotion controller is a new 3d sensing device for hand gesture interaction with a computer. It is capable of sensing the position and orientation of the fingers of both hands, as well as the palm orientation and curvature. It is meant to be placed on the desktop and operated by positioning the hands over the device. The controller can be used to point to a computer screen with a finger or with a tool (a pen or pencil, for example).

In this project, we intend to explore the possibility of using multi-touch and other sensors capabilities of mobile devices to interact with "web-based" applications for public displays. At this time, most of interactive public displays systems (except those based on multi-touch screens) enable remote and indirect interaction through various mechanisms such as SMS, QR codes, email, mobile applications, etc.. However, there are few that allow direct manipulation through a mobile device.
