Development of the original conception of modulatory musical space from the oldest theoretical tradition of Aristoxen and Zarlino to contemporary systematical approaches, specially applied to the diverse forms of chromatic music and other forms of musical construction. End goal will be the development of theoretical models and analytic tools able to concretize the dynamics of musical linearity and non-linearity, both in classical or erudite music and other forms of musical expressions, like jazz etc. This dynamics will defy meta-musical perceptual and theoretical issues related to the concept of musical time and phenomenological perception. The final results will encounter some foundational questions of aesthetics and philosophy of music. The whole project intends to create a reference group that integrates musical theory, analysis and thought.
