Abstract: 

Our investigation project will study independent videogames. We will look at what defines them conceptually in order to point to directions for their future. The focus of this investigation project will analyse the presuppositions of innovation, creativity and artistic experimentation which we consider are fundamental marks of this type of videogames and which may also define the videogames as a signature work.

Objectives: 

To study the current state of independent development of videogames which is undergoing rapid changes and marking its importance in industry. To find common and differentiating characteristics of this type of production. To raise the creation of videogames to an activity of authorial expression.
