Approximately 3.000 valuation certificates issued by the gold assay Vicente Manuel de Moura, located in the Historical Archive of the Mint in Lisbon, were the starting point for this action by CIONP which aimed to publicise a very important document about the North of Portugal. This is one of the most significant documental collections about Portuguese goldsmithery, certainly one of the most relevant of the 19th century. It is a transcription of post-mortem inventories, indicating the date and name of the owner, of part of the 1860s and 70s, with the list and description of the jewels and their respective value.
